My 1967 camaro convertible.

The car came from the
factory with:

In 1981 the Camaro underwent a total
restoration. It received:
- 350 V8 engine
- a turbo 350 transmission
- a 1969 373 12 bolt posi rear axle modified to use
the mono leaf springs
- The air
conditioning and heat were removed
- The car was sand blasted to bare metal
-
The car was painted:
- exterior black,
- engine compartment and gas tank copper
- fire wall was a mustard that faded to copper
- the A arms, outer wheel wells and floor boards
were painted a dark cherry
- the 1969 cowl induction hood was air brushed with
a very mean looking bird
- "Animal" from the Muppets was painted
on the gas tank

to the car
on 4-30-89 Jim Adams bought the car from Michael R.
Stacy with the odometer showing 38,332 miles (NOT actual miles) on May 9, 1989
the car was appraised at Classic Auto showplace to be worth $8200.00 to $8500.00
When I got the car in July of 2001:
- the engine and transmissions where removed but came
with the car
- I took the engine to be rebuilt at Chesterfield
Engine
- removed the front a arms and had new polyurethane
bushings pressed in them
- updated the front brakes to disc brakes
- new maser cylinder brake lines
- proportioning valve
- rotors
- calipers
- spindles
- dust shields which were my first purchase from
Heartbeat City.
- I bought a msd ignition system with a 6al msd box
distributor cap and rotor
- eldelbrock valve covers
- eldebrock 600 carb. After getting the car running
I discovered the 14" rims would not clear the front calibers so I went
to Bell Tire and bought a set of 15" BF Goodrich tires and torque thruster
rims.
- I had problems with the headers over-heating the
starter so I put in a mini starter to solve the problem.
- that august I had the car on Woodward for the Dream
Cruise.
- that winter I decided to install a 700R4 transmition
- aluminum custom built drive shaft
- auto light gages
- this added more power in first gear and lower RPM's
on the highway
- however it also created wheel hop when I mashed
down the throttle
The next winter I installed:
